Abortion

Abortion
The deliberate termination of a human pregnancy.
Abortion Rights
Proponents of abortion rights policies view the fetus, especially in early stages of pregnancy, as a part of the mother's body. They believe it is within the mother's rights to terminate the pregnancy if the mother faces health hazards, feels unprepared for parenting, or became pregnant via rape or incest.
Abortion Restriction
Proponents of abortion restriction policies view the fetus as an individual and separate person from their mother, with their own right to life—oftentimes from the moment of conception. They argue that ending a pregnancy is viewed on similar moral grounds to suicide or murder.
