LGBTQ Rights

LGBTQ Rights
Rights granted to individuals based on sexual orientation, gender expression, or sex characteristics.
LGBTQ Rights
Proponents of LGBTQ rights believe that members of the LGBTQ community should be given the same rights and opportunities as non-LGBTQ people. They believe gender and sexual orientation minorities should be protected classes against discrimination. They also argue separate institutions such as domestic partnerships do not constitute full equality.
Traditional Families
Opponents of LGBTQ rights believe in a traditional family structure where marriages and relationships consist solely of one man and one woman. They argue against recognition of same-sex marriage with some advocating the religious view that non-heterosexual relationships are immoral.
