James Gregory Bonnen (born June 18, 1966) is an American politician. He served as a Republican member for the 24th district of the Texas House of Representatives.Born in Angleton, Texas. Bonnen attended at Texas A&M University, where he earned his bachelor of science degree based on biochemistry. He attended at a medical school, where Bonnen had served as a neurosurgeon, with also serving as an assistant professor for the occupation. In 2013, he won the election for the 24th district of the Texas House of Representatives. Bonnen succeeded politician, Larry Taylor. He assumed his office on January 8, 2013.
