Alan D. Clemmons (born December 6, 1958) is an American former member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, where he has served from 2002 until his resignation in 2020. He is a member of the Republican Party. Clemmons was born in Myrtle Beach in 1958. From 1978 to 1980 Clemmons served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Southern Mexico. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Clemmons holds a bachelor's degree from Coastal Carolina University and a JD from Hamline University. Clemmons currently practices real estate law in Myrtle Beach. Clemmons and his wife Laura Ann are the parents of two daughters.
