Dean Benson Phillips (born January 20, 1969) is an American business magnate, liquor heir, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and politician from Minnesota. A member of the Democratic Party, he has represented Minnesota's 3rd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2019. Phillips is the heir to the Phillips Distilling Company, an alcoholic beverage manufacturing and distribution corporation his family started in 1912. He has also been involved in other significant business ventures. He was the co-owner of high-end gelato producer Talenti and owns a small local coffeeshop chain, Penny's Coffee.With an estimated net worth of $77 million in 2018, Phillips is one of the wealthiest members of Congress.
